Welcome to second grade! I look forward to getting to know you and your student. This year is a continuation of foundational skills, but going a little deeper to include a lot of hands on opportunities. My goal for your student is to feel as though they are part of a community in the classroom and to allow them to gain more knowledge in preparation for future grades and as a future adult! 
Daily a folder will go home with classwork, communication letters and a behavior calendar. Have your student bring that to you so that you both can review the day which will help them recall the new skills introduced! 
Together we can grow you child and make this year a successful one.
