About the Teacher/Welcome Msg
Welcome to our Second Grade class website!
Hi, I'm Emily Hunt and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year! I graduated from the University of Memphis in 2006 (Go Tigers!) with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education. My major was Human Development and Learning and I am licensed to teach Pre-K through fourth grade. This is my 15th year teaching and I started at Greenbrook for the 2006-2007 school year. I have always taught second grade and thoroughly enjoy this age group.
I currently live in Memphis, Tennessee, where I was born and raised. I am married and have two girls, and two dogs. Some of my favorite things are: coffee, chocolate, the beach, the season fall, football, shopping, and reading.

Homework is due by FRIDAY!
Every week homework will go home on Monday and should be returned by Friday. It may be turned in earlier if it is all completed.
Please sign folders!
The Daily Folder should be intitialed each day on the Behavior Log.
The Test Folders should be signed every Tuesday and returned by Friday.
Please check homework to make sure it has been completed correctly. Please help your child with their homework.
- Follow directions the first time.
- Raise your hand
- Stay in your seat
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
- Use kind words (be nice)
Daily folders will go home every day. Inside this folder will be a zipper bag for lunch/field trip/ice cream money and notes to and from the teacher, as well as, all worksheets and activity pages done in class each day. Please save the work that comes home in the folder daily, this will help when it comes time to study for tests. There will also be a behavior log where behavior will be recorded for each day. Please sign or initial in the box for the correct day.
This will be done on a weekly basis rather than daily. A homework folder will go home every Monday and will be due every Friday. Folders will be checked and students that have not completed the homework or forgot it at home will move a clip and complete the homework on Fridays during free time. Homework may be turned in sooner than Friday. This is done for you and your child's convenience. Many children are involved in other activities and certain nights are busier than others so this is a way homework can be completed when time allows.
This folder will go home every Tuesday. Inside this folder will be all of the tests your child completed the previous week. There will be a place for a parent signature and this needs to signed every week. Please do not remove the tests from the folder each week. Test folders and test papers should be returned by Friday.
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!
